Guided Tour and Workshop in Connection with the Exhibition “Mossi Traoré: Fashion, Too”

Passing on knowledge is at the heart of fashion designer Mossi Traoré’s work.
After exploring the exhibition dedicated to him at the Mucem, “Mossi Traoré: Fashion, Too,” the children will follow in the designer’s footsteps by trying their hand at design during a workshop that combines materials and shapes, urban arts, and traditional craftsmanship.
By the end of the workshop, they will have made their own creation: a keychain decorated with designs inspired by the exhibition. It’s sure to spark an interest in sewing among the participants!
Workshop tour in conjunction with the exhibition “Mossi Traoré, la mode aussi”
Kindergarten through 5th grade
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
In collaboration with Caroline Perdrix, co-founder of the Itinérance Méditerranée association.
Practical Information:
School Group Visits: Every day starting at 9 a.m., except Tuesdays.
Reservations are required: Please submit the form to reservation@mucem.org no later than three weeks before your visit. For additional information, call 04 84 35 13 13 (daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.).
Free Admission: Guided tours and workshops are offered to preschool, elementary, and middle schools in the REP and REP+ programs in Marseille.
Payment Terms: Activities must be paid for in advance by check, credit card, bank transfer, purchase order, or administrative payment order (for government agencies and public institutions). Payment via Pass Culture is also accepted.

Dreaming of the Mediterranean
Guided Tour and Workshop in Connection with the “Méditerranées” Exhibition
Through the “Méditerranées” exhibition, students discover how works of art, objects, and stories have shaped idealized images of the Mediterranean.
They continue in the workshop using the pop-up map technique. Drawing on the exhibition’s themes—architecture, nature, and objects—they create their own cards by designing two three-dimensional scenes. A period of observation and presentation allows them to share their creations and draw connections to the works on display.
