Our Educational Programs by Grade Level
Resources
Mucem offers a bank of documentary and educational resources, grouped by exhibition, for teachers and other educational professionals. Designed to help you prepare for your visit, they also offer educational suggestions for post-visit activities in line with school curricula.

Practical information
School groups welcome every day from 9am except Tuesdays. Off-site workshops on Tuesdays.
Please limit the use of backpacks as much as possible (except for picnic bags).
Picnics will be allowed in the outdoor areas of the Mucem.
Guided tours, workshops, and self-guided tours are available by reservation only.
Reservations must be submitted at least three weeks in advance for guided tours or workshops, and one week before the date of a self-guided tour, using the form sent to reservation@mucem.org or by phone at 04 84 35 13 13, every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Free self-guided tours
All exhibitions are open to self-guided tours (booking required). You can also take advantage of the gardens and terrace of J4 for an outdoor visit.
REP/REP+ middle schools in Marseille:
Free admission to guided tours and workshops (including off-site activities) is offered to REP and REP+ elementary and middle schools in Marseille. Simply contact the reservations department and provide the name of your school as part of the “Bienvenue au Mucem” program. Two activities are covered per teacher per school year.
For split classes in GS, CP, and CE1 at REP/REP+ schools, we welcome you in smaller groups to ensure a more comfortable visit and better interaction with the presenter. If transportation is shared, split classes may participate in concurrent activities (subject to availability).
Individual rates for teachers:
Reduced admission (€7.50) for temporary exhibitions. (upon presentation of the Education Pass)
Payment methods
Activities must be paid for in advance by cheque, credit card, bank transfer, purchase order or money order (for public administrations and institutions).
Culture Pass
The Culture Pass is a national program designed to make culture more accessible to young people. This pass is available to all young people aged 15 to 18. The Culture Pass consists of a group component and an individual component.
The group portion is exclusively dedicated to funding artistic and cultural education activities conducted in groups and supervised by teachers.
The amount of the group portion is determined for each school based on the number of students enrolled in each relevant grade level (€25 per student in 4e and 3e, €30 per student in CAP and seconde, €20 per student in première and terminale).Youth E-Pass
The Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region has launched a card, an app, and a website to make it easier for high school students, apprentices, BTS and preparatory program students in high schools, vocational training interns, and students in the health and social services fields to access cultural activities.

Collégien de Provence" card
The Department is offering middle school students in the Bouches-du-Rhône a new card that provides benefits and discounts for their daily lives, as well as for cultural and sports activities.

Call for educational projects
As in previous years, the Mucem offers secondary school classes the opportunity to support their artistic and cultural education (EAC) projects through schemes designed in partnership with the DAAC of the Aix-Marseille education authority. This year, to apply, you’ll need to go through ADAGE.
