A sensory tour designed for toddlers ages 18 months to 3 years
Inspired by object theater and specially adapted for young children, this tour invites you to join a little sheep on a quest to find its bell… With its myriad treasures, the exhibition “Populaire? Treasures from the Collections” awakens the senses and sparks a desire for discovery. Because it’s never too late to explore—and marvel at—the world of museums! In collaboration with L’air de dire.

In Japan, the Kami embodies the spirit of fresh water.
During this poetic and interactive performance, he comes to life as a giant rattan puppet, delicately manipulated by three performers. The great Kami wanders across the Place d’Armes at Fort Saint-Jean, where his presence—both benevolent and serene—captivates the audience. His story then unfolds: having become too dry, he has lost his plant essence and seems to be seeking refuge, a return to nature. His gaze shifts between the sea in the distance and the plant life in the Jardin des Migrations....

Set in a delicate world populated by mischievous little creatures, this show combines dance and puppetry.
A dancer discovers a miniature world where delicate wooden puppets come to life, stand up, play, and weave a chrysalis of white threads as they await their metamorphosis. The little ones, in turn, become giants and watch as this miniature world comes to life before their eyes. A poetic and heartfelt experience that lets you see the world from a child’s perspective. Guided tour with tablet for ages 7 and up
The Mucem and puppets share a long history of love and collections! Guided by a fun app, children are invited to set out in search of Raoul Lala—Marseille’s most famous puppet—through the most secret corners of the storage areas at the Belle de Mai Conservation and Resource Center (CCR). Explore the new exhibition at the Mucem during this afternoon dedicated to the eyes and the taste buds. With a mix of fun, culinary discoveries, and artistic experiences, “Manger des images” will truly come to life as we celebrate this tradition right at the heart of the museum and tour the exhibition!
