The Little Variations #1 & #2

Postcard Journeys & Little Cars and Big Vacations

  • Young Audiences

This new two-part production celebrates the importance of our memories and the moments we share with our elders in shaping our identities.

“Postcard Journeys” first takes us —through words, with great delicacy—into the heart of the family cocoon, through the correspondence between two grandmothers and two little girls. Then, we set off on the road to our vacation destination!

By playing with scale, *Petites voitures et grandes vacances* takes us back to the epic tradition of big departures. Performed together, these two short pieces pay a heartfelt tribute to the importance of moments of connection between generations and celebrate the passing down of traditions.

Here, the spotlight is on bodies in motion, objects from our childhood, and poetic, fleeting images.
