MucemLab
At the crossroads of research, creation and heritage, the MucemLab offers meetings, seminars, colloquia and training courses throughout the year.

Exhibitions and collections: to find out more
MucemLab goes behind the scenes of the museum and reveals the invisible face of its scientific activity by supporting the preparation of exhibitions or reflection on the museum’s collections, its role and professional practices: visit-meetings around current exhibitions, “expographic workshops” to prepare the itinerary of a forthcoming exhibition, colloquia on a theme highlighted by the museum’s programming, museological reflection on the exhibition form, on the history and typology of the collections, on the social and political stakes of the museum.
Ways of doing, ways of seeing: artistic creation and research
The museum is a space for experimentation, where research and art cross-fertilize their views of our societies, and draw mutual inspiration from their respective approaches: how can documentary data on societies be made sensitive in collections and exhibitions? How can we encourage collaboration between researchers and artists, and compare their points of view and methods? How can we develop sensitive writings through artistic practices based on research, or conversely, through alternative research writings?
Around the world
Seminars and colloquia offered to the public by partners to understand the research conducted on the issues, dynamics and political, social and anthropological transformations of societies: population mobility, resources and the environment, gender transformations, digitalization and digital transformation…
