Mucem offers children's groups a rich program of encounters with Mediterranean peoples and artworks. Discover our offers, choose your activity and prepare your visit to the museum.
Every Wednesday and during each Zone B school break, the Mucem welcomes after-school programs with a program designed specifically for them and special rates.
Guided and self-guided exhibition tours
Guided Tours
For the temporary and permanent exhibitions on the J4 in 2025-26, the museum offers 1-hour tours with our guides, every Wednesday and during school vacations.
Free self-guided tours
All exhibitions are open to self-guided tours (booking required). You can also take advantage of the gardens and terrace of J4 for an outdoor visit.

Would you like to explore the Mucem with your group, freely visiting the exhibits or the outdoor areas of J4 and Fort Saint-Jean? You can! To plan your visit, book a self-guided tour in advance through our reservation service.

Preparing your visit
If you have booked a self-guided or guided group tour, you can familiarize yourself with the exhibition before your visit to the Mucem.
In fact, the group leader (facilitator, director, or supervisor) may visit the exhibition hall on their own, free of charge, prior to the group tour. To do so, simply go to the Mucem ticket office with your group reservation confirmation.

Destination Mucem
Free offer: bus trip + museum admission + guided tour or show
The “Destination Mucem” bus travels through the city’s neighborhoods to take priority groups—including those from recreation centers—to the museum. There are three routes (South, East, and North).
The bus runs on Wednesday mornings (except during school breaks) to take your groups to the museum, as well as on certain days during school breaks.
The tour departs from the bus stop closest to your facility. Upon arrival at the Mucem, a guided activity (tour or workshop) is offered on Wednesdays or a show (during school breaks), followed by a return trip by bus after a picnic on site.
Destination Mucem is a 100% free offer (bus + activity at the Mucem) reserved for leisure centers located in priority urban districts (QPV).
