Straw Chopper

Originating in Egypt, the straw cutter was used to separate the grains from the wheat with the help of an animal (horses, oxen, donkeys, or mules) that pulled the machine. The wheat ears can be threshed using metal discs that rotate around the threshing floor. Once the grains have been collected, the straw can be used as material for basketry.

Table Soccer

As for the foosball table, it was used in a lesbian and feminist bar in Marseille—now closed since 2024—called “Aux 3G.” The foosball players were reimagined as customized figures inspired by the sculptures of Niki de Saint Phalle.
