Children set off on a mission in the “Populaire?” exhibition to help Phil the rabbit, faithful guardian of the Mucem collections, rediscover his emotions. Eight games in the “Le fabuleux terrier” children’s area complete this quest. An invaluable opportunity to encourage the youngest visitors to better recognize, express and manage their emotions…
Jeune Pousse - Workshop-visit in connection with the Migrations garden

Duration 1h30Mucem’s gardeners help you discover the Mediterranean plants and biodiversity of this dry garden through shapes, fragrances, textures, materials and colors. A small workshop using vegetable inks, featuring pomegranate and madder, completes this springtime visit.

Running time: 1h30Through the “Mediterranean” exhibition, students discover how artworks, objects and stories have constructed dream images of the Mediterranean. Between ancient temples, mythological heroes and vanished cities, they explore these imaginations, then create their own Mediterranean vision in the workshop.

Running time: 1h30After a visit to the exhibition, the experience continues with a workshop combining sewing, urban arts and know-how. Children discover the committed approach of designer Mossi Traoré, manipulating materials and shapes to create a unique piece together.

Conservation and Resource Center
Located in the Belle de Mai district, the Conservation and Resource Center (CCR) is dedicated to the conservation and dissemination of the Mucem collections. The model apartment is one of 17 storerooms that showcase the diversity of the museum’s holdings and reveal what goes on behind the scenes. A reading room is also available for consulting archives and books, and for borrowing the latter.

Public: Moyenne section – Grande section / Duration: 1h / Workshop visit.
The visit begins with the discovery of the reserve and some twenty objects depicting characters or animals echoing the world of fairy tales. The library is then transformed into a place of exchange, reading and creation.

The Mucem is continuing its off-site activities.
Story box
Public: Moyenne section – Grande section / Duration: 1h / Off-site workshop in Marseille.
Students create a collective booklet, using silk-screen stamps and visuals, to keep track of the main stages of folk tales.
