Did you know? The last time the guillotine was used in France was in Marseille in 1977.
The death penalty was abolished a few years later, in 1981, thanks to the action of Robert Badinter, then Minister of Justice. On the occasion of his pantheonization, scheduled for October 9, 2025, a tribute evening is dedicated to him, in collaboration with INA Méditerranée, with archival footage questioning our way of thinking about the world at the time, and the topicality of this great man’s struggles. A fascinating evening, open to all.
