This time, let’s make way for poetry!
Puppets can be giant or tiny, and journeys can be stationary—as long as they create memories to share as a family. Accompanied by Raoul Lala, the famous puppet from Marseille, children set out to discover the most beautiful puppets at the Mucem Conservation and Resource Center (CCR), while tours designed for young visitors allow them to explore the museum’s exhibitions in a whole new way.

Alice Zeniter—writer, playwright, director, and actress—is the Mucem’s guest for a two-day program.
She chooses to take us on a journey that speaks to us as much about the past as it does about the present, to places where history and personal stories come alive and intertwine—through her voice, the voices of her characters, and the voices of her guests.
We’ll journey through novels, from 1980 to the present; we’ll visit the Casbah of Algiers in 1955; we’ll gain access to present-day Afghanistan, under Taliban control; we’ll explore the power of the arts to create characters and bring stories to life through video, theater, and the novel; and we’ll dance to the rhythms of Isam Elias, somewhere between haunting piano and electro-Oriental sounds.
Featuring Alice Zeniter and her guests: Alice Carré, Solène Chalvon-Fioriti, Isam Elias, Hassen Ferhani, and Elodie Karaki.

In November 2026, the “Pulsations!” series returns with workshops focused on dance that makes you feel good!
Traditional, contemporary, urban, and inclusive dance… a whole season to get moving and explore a variety of styles through group classes that aren’t focused on correction. And this year more than ever, it’s all about discovery!
Every Saturday afternoon from November through March, join an introductory workshop led by passionate artists and experts. Open to beginners, these workshops offer a unique opportunity to fully enjoy the experience and develop your creativity.

What if we all questioned the struggles, issues and shortcomings of our contemporary societies in the form of a real-life mock trial involving experts, witnesses and exhibits from the Mucem collections?
This season of *Trials of the Century* examines our ability to (re)build humanity in the face of the climate, authoritarian, individualistic, and technological threats that are multiplying around the world. Fear exacerbates the temptations of isolation, selfishness, and conflict. Today’s struggles defend hard-won rights but no longer succeed in securing new human rights or rights for all living things. How can we act collectively, how can we live and build together today and tomorrow? What if we wished for more humanity?
A series of events conceived and produced by the Mucem and moderated by Rokhaya Diallo, Nora Hamadi, or François Saltiel.

For one afternoon, the Mucem invites you to explore a Mediterranean city through the lens of fiction: Rome, Tehran, Jerusalem, and Cairo will be featured in turn on the big screen.
Blending humor and tragedy, fiction and reality, follow human adventures and personal stories that are closely tied to moments in major historical events!
Each screening is introduced and followed by a discussion with a film critic or expert, and is then followed by a social gathering featuring culinary discoveries, games, readings, music, and surprises.

During the Christmas break, join us as a family for a week of special programming dedicated to the exhibition “Manger les images.” Storytime snacks, a family banquet, an art-themed snack time for toddlers, baking workshops, and a dance party: the Mucem offers images to look at, but also to eat, touch, listen to, and even dance to!
