Do you know the story of Ferdinandea, the little island that appeared in the Mediterranean in 1831 and sank beneath the waves just a few months later?

To celebrate the launch of the exhibition “Clément Cogitore: Ferdinandea, l’île éphémère”, the Mucem invites you to preview Clément Cogitore’s installations for the first time in France. The artist will be exceptionally present at the open house, to accompany visitors as they discover the exhibition.
And to find out a little more about the history and imaginary world of Ferdinandea Island, the three curators will be offering flash visits to the public.
The Mucem Bookshop will unveil the exhibition catalog, with a previously unpublished short story by writer and philosopher Tristan Garcia.
