Three good reasons to come to the Mucem

  1. Eclectic exhibitions to find out more about objects and the world around us! As the first national museum devoted to the Mediterranean, Mucem presents the cultural, social, scientific and political richness of the Euro-Mediterranean world from prehistory to the present day, combining fine art, anthropology, history, archaeology and contemporary art.
  2. Breathtaking architecture between the J4, a world-renowned building offering a walk through time and space, and Fort Saint-Jean, a historic monument built in the 17th century inviting you to delve into the city’s centuries-old history.
  3. Places to stroll Symbolizing the new Marseille, the Mucem offers a wealth of discoveries: Mediterranean gardens, sunbathing… and unique panoramic views over Marseille. Ephemeral concept stores, bookshops and restaurants invite you to extend your stroll and savour the moment!
