Join a workshop where traditional folk dancing meets club dancing. With Mélisande Pommier-Ferri and Maître Mim’s
Accompanied by Maître Mim’s on the turntables, Mélisande Pommier-Ferri invites you to experience the joys of the ball…
For her, dancing is a time for sharing, kindness, and good cheer. You’ll learn simple, traditional dances, such as the “chaînes” and Circassian circles, which are a highlight of traditional dances.
The goal? To give you the tools you need to hit the dance floor with confidence and fully enjoy the dance that follows. Whether you’re a beginner or just curious, Mélisande will guide you so you can let yourself be carried away by the music and the group.
So, put on your dance shoes, flash your best smile, and join the dance!
Mélisande Pommier-Ferri, dancer and performer
A graduate in contemporary dance from the Conservatoire du Grand Avignon, Mélisande has developed a passion for the traditional dances of Western Europe and the Middle East.
Primarily a solo performer, she has collaborated with various artists and companies (Cœur de Bretagne, Mila Auguste, Lolomis, Les Derniers Trouvères, and Enezeg).Maître Mim’s
Matthieu Souchet, Turfu’s crazy drummer, spins records under the stage name Maître Mim’s.
His specialty: blending traditional music with club music to create a new genre: TURBO TRAD.
Here, bourrées, gavottes, mazurkas, and other folk dances blend with kicks, basslines, and electronic grooves. It’s a hybrid, festive, and slightly uncontrollable style of music, designed to get both older generations and clubbers dancing.
His obsession: turning the ball into a dance floor and the dance floor into a ball. In short, giving tradition a turbo boost.
