The Commission of Inquiry is a forum for reflection and discussion, in connection with the Trials of the Century.
A production led, depending on the dates, by Grégoire Ingold (director) and Fabienne Jullien (actress), or Carla Azoulay Zerah (actress) and Loïc Renard (actor).
During this workshop, which is open to everyone, participants engage in creative thinking, explore different perspectives, and embody various life experiences. Over the course of half a day, they explore the topic of the next Trial of the Century and learn, together, to develop arguments and testimonies, some of which may be presented in court and debated during the next Trial of the Century.
Somewhere between the art of persuasion and theater, *The Commission of Inquiry* provides a civil counterpoint to the debates, because the issues facing our world concern us all.
Practical information
Meet on the 2nd floor of the MucemLab at 2:00 p.m. Access via the Cour de la Commande; the Mucem entrance is located at 201 Quai du Port, 13002 Marseille.
Half-day schedule
Opening up the proposed theme, investigating the subject and putting it up for debate, constructing testimonies and arguments, taking the floor, collective analysis of the various presentations.
Some of the testimonies produced during the day’s proceedings are presented in the public session of the Trials of the Century on the following Monday evening, alongside invited specialists and witnesses.
Participation in Commission of Inquiry sessions is free, subject to registration. It does not necessarily imply attending or participating in the Monday Trial of the Century. No prerequisites or attendance required. Groups of up to 20 people, working in small groups.
“Trials of the Century” Season 6 will be held every Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the Mucem auditorium, from November 16, 2026, to March 15, 2027.

Le Procès du siècle appelle à la barre plaignants, accusés, témoins et avocats. Il en appelle avant tout à ses jurés, les citoyens.
