During this workshop, we'll discover a vegetable dyeing technique through the exploration of patterns.
With Anouk Zibaut Each participant will work from a single design, applied to two different fabrics using two different pastes. The gesture will be identical, but each paste will react differently. After dyeing, the patterns will appear mirrored, inverted with respect to each other. Botanical printing is a sensitive dialogue between plants and textiles, a way of letting plants express themselves. Leaves, flowers and natural fibers come together to reveal unique imprints, traces and stains of an instant, a gesture.
With Iulia Hodoleanu (Maenad) On a cotton fabric, everyone is invited to touch the material, observe the shapes and colors, arrange the plants, wrap them and then wait.
