Discover the screenings and winners of the 2026 edition of the "À Première Vue" award at Mucem this Thursday, July 9, as part of an evening of discovery of cinema from North Africa and the Middle East.
À Première Vue is a collection, a program of five short films featuring the first films of young directors from film schools in Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and Palestine.
Organized during the 37e edition of the FID – Festival International de Cinéma, the “À Première Vue” prize rewards the work of young filmmakers from the Middle East and North Africa, while promoting their work in the Mediterranean media and at regional and international professional and cultural events.
Following a call for entries sent out to schools in the COPEAM network, and thanks to the support of TV5 Monde, Mucem, FID, Rai Cinema and other audiovisual partners, an international jury of cinema professionals viewed the short films in competition, and proposed a shortlist of the best films, as well as the “FID, Mucem, COPEAM” Youth Prize.
A transnational jury of young people from Morocco (in collaboration with the Cinémathèque de Tanger), Italy (in collaboration with Uninettuno University and ANICA Academy) and students from Marseille also awarded a Youth Prize.
