How do women artists integrate motherhood into their artistic careers? What place does the art world, as a social and economic system, give to parenthood?

Lectures and discussions will enrich the perspectives of the “Bonnes Mères” exhibition, approaching maternity from a political and professional angle, and making visible a voice that is still too little heard in the field of contemporary art.
A day coordinated by Nour Awada and Emilie McDermott, co-founders of the [Re]production project.

In partnership with the French Ministry of Culture.

To round off the day, singer and mother-artist Camille will be on hand to present “The Sound of Milk”, her forthcoming album due for release in autumn 2026. Conceived as a triptych, this project recorded over 15 years (the age of her eldest soń) will revolve around three sections: birth, childhood and adolescence, in which Camille explores the links between motherhood, transmission and creation. From intimate sound diaries captured in the family universe to luminous, orchestrated pop, the album celebrates joy as a vital force in troubled times and questions what we pass on to future generations.
