Learn the signature techniques of hip-hop dance with Rachid Aziki and Rémi Autechaud, Cie Käfig / Mourad Merzouki
Dancers from the Käfig Company, directed by Mourad Merzouki, Rémi Autechaud, and Rachid Aziki, invite you to an introduction to hip-hop through two complementary approaches to dance.
Specializing in popping, waving, and standing dance, Rémi Autechaud will introduce you to isolation moves, wave effects, and different ways to play with rhythm and music. Rachid Aziki, meanwhile, will introduce you to the fundamentals of breaking and its vocabulary, focusing on rhythm, footwork, and movement.
On the agenda: an introduction to techniques, simple exercises, and learning short choreographed routines. A workshop to explore the richness of hip-hop and, above all, to have fun dancing together.
Rémi Autechaud, aka RMS, Käfig Company
Rémi Autechaud is a versatile dancer known for his popping and waving moves, both standing and on the floor. He began his career in 2001 with the group Les Gremlins Crew and, from 2003 to 2005, collaborated with the Agogo company on musical performances for young audiences.
He joined the Käfig company in 2005 for *Terrain Vague* and subsequently participated in several productions by Mourad Merzouki, including *Récital*, *Tricoté*, *Boxe Boxe*, and *Yo Gee Ti*. Currently performing in *Pixel*, *Cartes Blanches*, *Vertikal*, and *Beauséjour*, he is also the assistant choreographer for the show *The Fairy Queen*.
Rachid Aziki, aka Zk Flash, Käfig Company

He quickly made a name for himself in battles and competitions, reaching the finals of Battle of the Year France in 2014.
