Pulsations! Enter the dance

  • Dance-
  • Workshop

Exploring the relationship between the body, movement, and others.
With Natia Chikvaidze

A movement workshop inspired by Georgian dance, focusing on rhythm, gesture, repetition, and collective movement.

Drawing on elements of Pherkhuli and Georgian dance traditions, participants explore simple sequences and rhythmic structures, which they transform through their own bodies in a playful dialogue between tradition and contemporary movement.

  • Natia Chikvaidze, choreographer, dancer, and researcher

Natia Chikvaidze, a Georgian choreographer, dancer, and researcher based in Tbilisi, explores the connections between the body, memory, and the Soviet legacy through contemporary dance, sound, and site-specific practices. She has collaborated with renowned companies such as Kamea Dance, (LA)HORDE, and the National Ballet of Marseille, and co-founded PlazmPlatform in 2018, a space dedicated to experimental dance in Georgia that offers training programs, workshops, and performances.

Her artistic research explores how ideology, violence, and collective trauma are embodied in movement and space, particularly through post-Soviet architecture. Her works (Evening Song!, Antagonism of Desire, etc.) have been presented at venues including the ZKM Karlsruhe (KAMUNA 2026). She also works on inclusivity (IN C with InForm).
