Explore the rich world of flamenco. With Eva Luisa
Alongside the cantaor (singer) Emilio Cortés and the guitarist Dani Barba, the bailaora (dancer) Eva Luisa invites you to discover the many facets of flamenco through an introduction to dance, rhythm, and song—the elements that make this art form so rich.
While incorporating the fundamentals of flamenco, this interactive approach allows everyone to understand how dancers, musicians, and singers—through a dialogue that emphasizes improvisation and creativity—work together to create a truly musical experience.
Dance, singing, guitar, clapping, and improvisation thus become gateways to an art form that is shared, felt, and created collectively.
Eva Luisa, flamenco dancer, choreographer, and teacher
A flamenco dancer, choreographer, and teacher, Eva Luisa began her training as a teenager in Spain under internationally renowned artists such as Eva Yerbabuena, Andrés Marín, and Manuela Carpio.
In 2007, she founded the Eva Luisa dance company, with which she created several performances and developed a personal approach to flamenco. Her career has been marked by numerous collaborations with artists from the French and international flamenco scenes, as well as with artists from other musical and artistic worlds. Notably, she created *Luz* with guitarist Lydie Fuerte, and more recently *De mi Recreo*, an intimate and sensitive work that explores memory, play, and freedom as sources of inspiration for flamenco, paying homage to its roots and its imagination. She also collaborates with the street theater company CPPP, expanding her work to the intersection of flamenco, theater, and the performing arts.
Alongside her creative and performance work, Eva Luisa is dedicated to an important educational mission: introducing people to flamenco in all its richness, providing the keys to understanding its rhythm, structure, and language, and enabling everyone to experience it through their bodies.
