On the occasion of the Journées Européennes des Métiers d'Art, Rendez-Vous d'Exception at the Centre de Conservation et de Ressources, to discover the Mucem reserves and the "Le musée mène l'enquête" exhibition.

The Centre de Conservation et de Ressources (CCR) at the Mucem invites visitors to rediscover the collections held in its storerooms through the lens of craftsmanship and know-how: fabric artificial flower making, glass art and wallpaper making will be showcased on a themed tour to coincide with the Journées Européennes des Métiers d’Art.

The CCR is also a place where craftsmen (framing, sewing, tapestry) work every day, introducing the public to their trades. The exhibition “Le musée mène l’enquête”, currently on display at the CCR, also showcases skills that have disappeared.

The theme of the heart at work will be approached from the angle of the different ways in which know-how is passed on, at the heart of the Mucem’s missions: little-known museum trades that it is important to maintain and make known, disappeared know-how of which the works in the collections and the archives that document their history are the witnesses.
