Discover the choreographic world of Leïla Ka.
Featuring Océane Crouzer, Cie Leïla Ka
In this workshop, we freely explore the worlds of contemporary dance and theater. We dance to play, we play to tell stories, and we explore how a single gesture can evoke an emotion or tell a story.
Through games, exercises, and improvisations, participants explore movement, gesture, and expression, and discover how to convey an intention without using words.
A workshop inspired by Leïla Ka’s urban and contemporary influences, designed for dancing, playing, and letting your body express itself.
Océane Crouzier, Leïla Ka Company
Trained in various dance styles since childhood, she enrolled in the contemporary dance program at the CNSMD Lyon in 2016. She performed repertoire pieces under the direction of Hervé Robbe, Thomas Guerry, Rachid Ouramdane, Carolyn Carlson, and Sharon Eyal, and worked with Ambra Senatore on the revival of the solo piece *Altro piccolo progetto domestico*. After graduating in 2020, she performed for Louison Valette in *Mues* and in Grégoire Manhès’s post-graduate project *Killing Time*. Interested in performance art, she collaborated with Mathilde Segonds on the walk-through installation *Dans le silence des fossiles*, and later with Willi Dorner on *Bodies in Urban Spaces*.
She can also be seen in Grégoire Manhès’s choreographed medium-length film *Killing Time*, which was selected for the 2022 Côté Court Festival. She performs at the CCB in Lisbon in Miguel Filipe’s *Bochechamente para um futuro* and “features” in Marion Alzieu’s production, *Si c’est une fille*. Since 2023, she has been a performer for Leïla Ka and has appeared in several pieces from her repertoire, including *C’est toi qu’on adore*, *Bouffées*, and *Maldonne*. She has also begun work on the performance duo *LA440* by Louison Valette of Cie Phonème.
