By Karine Birgé (France/Belgium, 2023, 54 min) – VOSTFR

“She was 102 years old. It was late summer 2018. My grandmother had made the choice to leave France and come to Belgium to die. The choice of a ‘sweet and easy’ death – euthanasia in Greek. I look back at what preceded her short-lived exile and my memories of this difficult crossing. Using the sound traces I’ve kept, I summon up a small theater of dolls and objects, bring together my relatives and friends, Dr. Frankenstein and Chantal Goya, and reweave a world around my grandmother, who left in a strange quietude.” Karine Birgé
