A cardio-dance workout program that combines fitness, choreography, and letting go. With Maryam Kaba

Inspired by African and Afro-descendant dances, Afrovibe embodies the values of self-acceptance, respect, sharing, and joy.

Maryam Kaba, co-founder of this concept, invites you to explore the relationship between emotions (joy, anger, sadness) and movement by focusing on the vibration of the sacroiliac region, grounding the body, and releasing tension through the hips.

Alternating between warm-ups and improvisation, all with a focus on flexibility, everyone will be able to freely express their emotions and take ownership of their bodies to let their energy shine on the dance floor!

  • Maryam Kaba is a dancer and choreographer

Maryam Kaba is a dancer and choreographer committed to celebrating the body and empowering women—without excluding men. A former French rhythmic gymnastics champion (1992, 1994), she founded the Afrovibe dance-fitness concept in 2013. She developed it in Paris, then spent four years in Brazil, where she was the lead dancer for the Vila Isabel samba school at the 2017 Rio Carnival.
Of French-Ivorian descent, she advocates for multiculturalism through numerous collaborations and charitable initiatives. Based in Marseille since 2017, she teaches a form of dance that encourages everyone to challenge societal norms, reclaim ownership of their bodies, and build self-esteem.
She is an associate artist with the Ballet National de Marseille for the 2022–2025 seasons, with three projects: the solo *Entre mes jambes*, *Joie Ultra Lucide* with the Maison des Femmes 13, and *Tamos Juntos* with audiences in Marseille.
