  • For the hearing impaired

    Hearing-impaired visitors fitted with hearing aids can benefit from amplification:

    • exchanges with reception staff thanks to magnetic induction loops at reception desks, ticket offices and checkrooms,
    • the auditorium, where most of the cultural and artistic programming is broadcast, and which is equipped with a magnetic induction loop.
    • guided tours, using an individual magnetic induction loop at the J4 and Fort Saint-Jean reception points.
    • the multimedia guide, using an individual magnetic induction loop at reception points.

    Most of the films shown in the exhibition areas are subtitled in French.

  • For the deaf

    Self-guided tours

    The visioguide offers videos in French Sign Language (LSF) to help you discover the “Méditerranées” and “Populaire? ” exhibitions.

    Free for disabled visitors.
    Available from the J4 ticket office.

    You can also view these videos free of charge from your phone on the Mucem webapp or with a phone and computer on Youtube.

  • Adapted artistic programming

    Certain elements of the artistic program (cinema, lectures, shows) are translated into LSF.
    Certain elements of the artistic program, notably a selection of cinema screenings, are subtitled.

Mucem regularly offers guided tours of its exhibitions in LSF.

  • Price: €5 per person.

Coming as a group

  • Guided tour

    Price: €50.
    Rates for guided tours include booking, lecture and audiophone equipment (subject to availability). Visits in LSF are limited to 15 participants per visit, to ensure everyone can see properly.

  • Self-guided tour

    Reservations are free of charge.
    Disabled persons are entitled to free admission for themselves and a companion. Proof of disability is required.

    Reservations must be made at least 3 weeks in advance for guided tours and one week in advance for self-guided tours.

  • Reservations and practical information

    Special time slots are reserved for groups, enabling us to offer a particularly warm welcome and mediation services. Reservations are required for groups of 7 or more (including accompanying adults).

    When booking, please specify the disabilities of the people in your group. Do they present :

    • locomotion difficulties
    • sensory difficulties
    • comprehension difficulties
    • concentration difficulties
    • other difficulties?

    This information is invaluable for the comfort of your visit. It will help the Musem reception and mediation staff to better welcome your group. On the day of your visit, please present your reservation confirmation at the group reception desk.
