The Mucem authorizes the user to consult this site free of charge, for information purposes only, and solely for personal and private use, to the exclusion of all commercial purposes.
Under the terms of article L. 122-5 of the French Intellectual Property Code, “copies or reproductions strictly reserved for the private use of the copier and not intended for collective use” are authorized, as are “analyses and short quotations justified by their critical, polemical, educational, scientific or informative nature”, subject to the author’s name and source. Any other representation or reproduction, by any means whatsoever, in particular by downloading or printing, will therefore constitute an infringement punishable under articles L 335-2 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code.
Moral rights
In accordance with the French Intellectual Property Code, all authors have the right to respect for their name and the integrity of their work.
Thus, any use of content protected as a work by the intellectual property code must be made without modification and include the name of its author and of the assignee of the rights where applicable.

Any re-use of this information is free, provided that it is not altered, that its meaning is not distorted, and that its sources and the date of its last update are mentioned.
No transfer of ownership of public administrative information is made to the reuser. The latter enjoys a personal and non-exclusive right to re-use this administrative public information. Any person re-using public information in breach of the aforementioned provisions is liable to a fine imposed by the Commission for Access to Administrative Documents.
Hyperlinks
The Mucem site authorizes the creation of a hypertext link to its content provided that it does not create confusion as to the source of the services and/or content produced and/or held by the Mucem and subject to:
– not using the deep linking technique, i.e. the pages of the www.mucem.org may not be embedded within the pages of another site, but may be accessed by opening a window;
– mention the source, which will point directly to the content in question via a hypertext link.
Information may only be used for personal, associative or professional purposes; it may not be used for commercial or advertising purposes. Please note! This authorization does not apply to websites disseminating information of a polemical, pornographic or xenophobic nature, or which may, to a greater extent, undermine human dignity, public order or public morality; nor does it apply to websites which may undermine the material or moral interests of the Mucem.
For other uses, please contact us by post at the above address or by e-mail at contact@mucem.org.
Conversely, hypertext links may be set up within the site to other resources on the Internet. In each case, we do our utmost to indicate the site to which we suggest you go.
The www.mucem.org site offers numerous links to other sites, mainly official sites (institutions, public bodies, etc.), but also to some sites of partner associations or companies. These web pages, whose addresses are regularly checked, are not part of the public and official www.mucem.org
site. The Mucem is not responsible for the content of these other sites, and will not be held liable for any damage or loss arising from them. Links to other sites are provided for convenience only.
Liability
While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the content, the Mucem cannot be held responsible or liable, explicitly or tacitly, for the accuracy of the content and information that may be created and/or disseminated, or for the use that may be made of it by Internet users.
Mucem undertakes to use all necessary means to ensure the best possible provision of the services it offers to the Internet user. The Mucem may not be held liable in the event of force majeure or other circumstances beyond its control, in particular in the event of interruption of service resulting from a failure of the telephone network or the Internet service provider of the Internet user.
The Mucem may proceed, without prior notice, notification or compensation, with any modification of the site, its content and/or its conditions of access. The Mucem may in no case be held responsible for the consequences resulting from the modification, discontinuance or deletion of the site, for any reason whatsoever and in particular due to technical constraints.
