En 1789, pendant la Révolution française, Joseph Ignace Guillotin, médecin et député est représenté assis à une table, écrivant sur des feuillets. Il fait adopter à l'Assemblée Nationale l'instrument qui portera son nom, la guillotine. Il est entouré de plusieurs personnages de l'Assemblée Nationale.
