Long manche en bois cylindrique sur lequel est inserrée une grosse boule hérissée de pointes surmontant une forme tronconique. Le tout est peint en jaune et le manche en rouge. Cette structure représente l'éponge piquée à l'extrémité d'une lance par un soldat romain et tendue au Christ lors de la Passion. Un clou plié est planté à l'extrémité du manche en bois.
