FIDMarseille

The Mucem hosts the 30th edition of FIDMarseille—the Marseille International Film Festival. Featuring more than 150 films, many of them world premieres, the event is a trailblazer for emerging talent, showcasing new films—both documentary productions and fiction.

In addition to the most recent productions, the event will be screening heritage films, notably as part of a retrospective, as well as masterclasses, encounter sessions with directors, Nuit de la radio, and other special sessions that complete this powerful program.

FIDMarseille is particularly keen to maximize public engagement with contemporary cinema and invites directors from across the globe to make their own personal contribution to the festival.

Tempestuous, daring, relevant, rebellious, as unexpected as it is possible to be ... this is the kind of cinema that FIDMarseille proudly puts centerstage.

FIDMarseille takes place from 9 to 15 July 2019 at the Mucem, Les Variétés cinema, La Baleine cinema, the l’Alcazar library, the Vidéodrome 2, the Théâtre Silvain, the Théâtre de l’œuvre, la Friche and participating galleries.
