Transdev
Transdev becomes the new transportation provider for Destination Mucem.
As part of a partnership agreement signed on October 11, 2024, Transdev is providing two electric vehicles to support the initiative. This new partnership will help achieve three major objectives for the development of Destination Mucem:
– Make the service more environmentally friendly by using zero-emission vehicles.
– Accommodate people with limited mobility thanks to two vehicles that are 100% accessible to people with disabilities
– Expand the program to weekdays to better serve school-age children, particularly those in schools and recreation centers.
On Sundays, Transdev provides an electric bus to serve the three routes included in the project (Marseille’s outlying neighborhoods in the north, east, and south). On weekdays, a 100% accessible electric coach will operate 75 trips from Wednesday, November 6, 2024, through Sunday, July 27, 2025, for schoolchildren.
Committed to issues of sustainable mobility, accessibility, and inclusion, Transdev Méditerranée and Transdev Bouches-du-Rhône are also providing financial support to the Destination Mucem project under a sponsorship agreement.
