Mutuelles du Soleil
Sponsor of the Giono exhibition.
By becoming a patron of France’s first museum dedicated to Mediterranean cultures, the Mutuelles du Soleil group is reaffirming its commitment to the cultural world, complementing its involvement in the world of sports.
A Development Strategy
To strengthen its presence throughout the greater South, the Mutuelles du Soleil group has been a sponsor of the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations for several years. This sponsorship will also be highlighted during the “Giono” exhibition, which will run from October 30, 2019, to February 12, 2020, at the Mucem.
“Jean GIONO is a true icon of our region. When he says, in *Les vraies Richesses*: ‘People must have told you that you have to succeed in life; I tell you that you have to live—that is the greatest success in the world.’ “This is the kind of humanism that aligns with our company’s values,” says Claude Leblois, CEO of Mutuelles du Soleil Livre II.
Shared Values
Culture contributes to human empowerment. It allows people to reach new heights of beauty and joy, and is an integral part of well-being—a value that is dear to Mutuelles du Soleil.
Our partnership with cultural institutions such as the Mucem underscores our commitment to upholding the values of unity, community, and identity.
Mutuelles du Soleil: A Human Story…
170 years ago, the first mutual insurance company was founded, which would become the cornerstone of the group.
It began as a mutual aid society, then became a village-based mutual insurance company, followed by city- and department-level mutual insurance companies, eventually leading to two mutual insurance companies that merged in 2004.
The merger of MCM and Mutalpes created the Mutuelles du Soleil group.
Since 2004, various mergers and partnerships have helped expand the group’s reach beyond the PACA region, while maintaining a strong local presence (23 branches across 8 departments).
A corporate culture rooted in strong values: solidarity, closeness, respect, kindness, and expertise.
A shared commitment to building a mutual insurance company that is close to its members and dedicated to health and prevention.
As a nonprofit organization, Mutuelles du Soleil is recognized for its expertise in the field of social protection: mutual health insurance, health insurance plans for the self-employed, life insurance, retirement plans, and preventive care.
Transparency and community engagement are the group’s guiding principles; member loyalty is our greatest reward.
Today, Mutuelles du Soleil provides coverage to nearly 300,000 people, including more than 100,000 small business owners, artisans, and self-employed professionals (as of February 2020, when coverage was transferred to the general social security system).
