Shall we dance?

We aren’t necessarily Nijinsky, Beyoncé, or Fred Astaire. It doesn’t matter. Shall we dance?

In a continuous flow of words and images, this book tests the limits of movement. Sometimes we dance without even knowing it, or even wanting to. For example, by manipulating the two stacked sections of this book, which then seems to sway from side to side, offering an infinite number of combinations, face-to-face encounters, and possible pas de deux. At the top, images that are both still and in motion. At the bottom, intersecting perspectives from literature, philosophy, movement analysis, psychoanalysis, and anthropology, which give meaning and direction to even the most mundane of gestures.
