Simon Porte Jacquemus loves blue and white, stripes, the sun, fruit, curves, life, the 1980s and Marseille. Just 27 years old, this “Made in Provence” designer is bringing a breath of light, fresh air into the world of Parisian fashion. His sunny universe and brazen creations are now on display at the MuCEM, in the chapel in Fort Saint-Jean: through a window dotted with screens, hundreds of images, shapes, colours, creations and inspirations plunge us into the young designer’s private world. Like a virtual fashion show, he has developed a new type of exhibition, designed entirely from images and videos posted on his Instagram account.
On 13 May, Jacquemus will be introducing his summer collection, “Les Santons de Provence” (Spring-Summer 2017) during a special show on Fort Saint-Jean’s Place d’Armes.
Discover the second chapter of Jacquemus – Marseille, I Love You at Marseille’s Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC). A double exhibition produced by the Mediterranean House of Fashion Trades (MMMM), as part of the OpenMyMed Festival.
