Discover vegetable dyes and the main stages in their manufacture.
After an introduction to the history of dyeing, a visit to the Jardin des Migrations will teach us how to identify Mediterranean dye plants. We’ll then learn about the various stages of dyeing: bath preparation, the mordant paste recipe and stenciling. In the last part of the workshop, it’s time to make a fabric handkerchief, dyed and printed to your own taste.
