Using selected excerpts from Mahmoud Darwich’s Le Lanceur de dés, and cross-readings of their original and translated versions in French, Walid Ben Selim guides you in the discovery of your voice, and your capacity for interpretation.

Walid Ben Selim is a humanist singer-songwriter and lover of poetry, to which he devotes his artistic career. He founded one of the first rap groups in Morocco.
The artist explores the vast horizons of Sufi poetry, redrawing the boundaries between traditional and contemporary Arab music. In duet with harpist Marie-Marguerite Cano, he embodies the verses of the sages Mahmoud Darwich, Ibn Arabi and Rumi, enriched by more personal texts.
