Jean Rouch International Festival

Collective film (France, 1h22, 2022)

Official selection 2023: Immersion du regard
Prix du Public / Sélection Images en Bibliothèques

In the course of regular consultations at Bobigny’s Maternal and Child Protection Center, we discover the work of those who accompany patients’ families. The film lets us see and hear the quality, demands and necessity of the listening and advice provided in the space of trust that professionals manage to create to welcome an intimate and sometimes fragile word. Their voices resonate and accompany the viewer, putting into perspective their reflections and the delicate balance between the conditions of support for users and their working conditions.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with Julien Pornet and Isabelle Menaouil-Maetz.
