  • 10:30 am - MucemLab - Fort Saint-Jean Visit the "Paradis naturistes" exhibition With Arnaud Baubérot Guided public visit

Public guided tour of the “Paradis naturistes” exhibition by historian Arnaud Baubérot, author of Histoire du naturisme. Le mythe du retour à la nature (limited number of places, registration required at mucemlab@mucem.org).

  • 2pm - 5pm, round table - MucemLab - Fort Saint-Jean Bodies, norms and sexualities Moderated by Amélie Lavin With Thelma Bacon, Arnaud Baubérot, Marc Cluet, Jean Da Silva, Hervé Szydlowski, Lola Miesserroff, Guijarro Pineda Aleix

A questioning of the representation of nudity and beauty in a society that stigmatizes bodies that don’t fit the norm. In an age of body positivity and respect for all bodies, naturism pursues the acceptance and socialization of all genders and bodies, against the imperatives of standard norms. The demand for consensual sexuality that respects bodily integrity is at the heart of naturist ethics.

Moderated by Amélie Lavin, curator in charge of the Bodies, Appearances and Sexuality department at Mucem and co-curator of the exhibition.

With Thelma Bacon (doctoral student, Université d’Angers), Arnaud Baubérot, (historian, author of Histoire du Naturisme), Marc Cluet (historian of German naturism), Jean Da Silva (art historian, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne), Hervé Szydlowski (artist, CHM photographer), Lola Miesserroff (author of Fille à pédés and pioneer of naturism in Marseille), Guijarro Pineda Aleix (doctoral student, Sorbonne Université)

  • 5:30 pm - MucemLab - Fort Saint-Jean Meeting with Robert Salis

Interview with Robert Salis, director of Vivre nu: à la recherche du paradis perdu.

  • 9:30 - 12:30, round table - MucemLab - Fort Saint-Jean Territoires en mutation Moderated by Bernard Andrieu With Stéphane Deschênes, Jean François Feunteun, Emmanuel Jaurand , Olivier Sirost, Chloé Vasselin

More and more traditional sites are the object of real estate speculation and takeovers by financial tourism groups. Like campsites, some naturist sites are becoming a market for luxury mobile homes, driving naturists away from popular practices and caravans, cabins or camping parties. However, other alternative sites, self-managed campsites and naturist associations are now pursuing sustainable practices, in natural settings and with a local economy. With vegetarianism, a return to the earth and contact with the cosmos become a new way of existing and sharing.

Moderated by Bernard Andrieu (philosopher, professor at the Institut des sciences du sport et de la santé de Paris, Université Paris Cité) and David Lorenté (audiovisual and multimedia systems and techniques engineer at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and doctoral student, Université Paris Cité), co-curators of the exhibition.

With Stéphane Deschênes, (President of the Fédération Naturiste Internationale, to be confirmed), Jean François Feunteun (Le Mouvement Naturiste), Emmanuel Jaurand (geographer, Université d’Angers), Olivier Sirost (sociologist, Université de Normandie), Chloé Vasselin (co-author of Monta Stories).

  • 14h -17h, round table - MucemLab - Fort Saint-Jean New practices Moderated by Thomas Lequeu With Gérard Amaudric, Julien Claudé-Penégry, Jérémie Lapeyre, Sophie Fontanel, Viviane Tiar, Bruno Saurez and Raphaël Chatelain

From “randonue” to nude museum visits to nightclub parties, all new spaces and genres, right up to the election of “Miss Transgender”, bear witness to the vivacity of shared nudity and produce new aesthetics. How are young people making spaces and practices their own, renewing socialization patterns and artistic codes?

Roundtable discussion moderated by Thomas Lequeu (Director of Collection and Research, Villa Noailles)

With Gérard Amaudric (doctor and historian), Julien Claudé-Penégry (A222-32 collective), Jérémie Lapeyre (music programmer, composer and DJ), Sophie Fontanel (journalist and writer), Viviane Tiar (former president of the FFN) & Bruno Saurez (President of the Association Naturiste Phocéenne), Raphaël Chatelain (photographer, to be confirmed).
