Open House

Open house for the exhibition "En Piste! Clowns, Pitres and Saltimbanques" exhibition.

The Mucem invites you to celebrate the opening of its new exhibition “En Piste! Clowns, Pitres et Saltimbanques” at a free open house on Wednesday, December 4, from 4pm to 9pm.

On the program:

Throughout the evening, enjoy gourmet cotton candy from La Balloonnerie, an animal make-up workshop for young and old, led by students from Marseille’s ATMA make-up school, and drinks and light refreshments from Mina Kouk!

Several concerts, dance performances and presentations of the exhibition by the curators will be offered during this unique and festive evening:

  • From 4:45pm to 8:15pm, several performances in the exhibition hall Puck(s) Danse

Puck(s), Kelemenis&cie, Michel Kelemenis, with Aurore Indaburu, Claire Indaburu, Max Gomard and Anthony La Rosa. Dance to be discovered in the exhibition throughout the evening.

With four performers close to his work, choreographer Michel Kelemenis plays with the elusive and the self-effacing.

Fleeting presences, breathing at the heart of the exhibition, appear only to dissolve immediately. Four elves, goblins or children become mischievous filters of ambient noise, signalling their arrival with the light sound of bells adorning ankles or wrists. Here and there, their braided circulations reveal brief duets or quartet hypotheses. Incidentally, the works and objects on display change status, spontaneously abandoning their pedestals to become the backdrop for encounters, which in turn write new perspectives.

    Choreography Michel Kelemenis
With : Aurore Indaburu, Claire Indaburu, Max Gomard and Anthony La Rosa
    Costumes by Camille Penager.
