Nuclear nomads

Jean Rouch International Festival

By Tizian Stromp Zargari and Kilian Armando Friedrich (Germany, 2022, 1h12), VFSTA

Official selection 2023: Focus on the environment
Prix Gaïa

Marie-Lou, Florian, Jérôme and Vincent are employed by subcontractors in the French nuclear industry. Their job is to maintain and replace reactor cores whenever necessary. Always ready to be sent on a mission, they live in camper vans in front of the power plants. All struggle against the loneliness and uncertainty to which their work exposes them. And they dream of their future lives, far from the parking lots and power plants.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with Tizian Stromp Zargari, and Vincent Jouet, the film’s main protagonist.
