Méandres or the invented river
By Marie Lusson and Émilien De Bortoli (France, 2023, 1h13) – VOSTFR
In midsummer, a group of friends set off down a river in a makeshift raft. The physical and living obstacles they encounter bear witness to the transformations and alterations humans have made to the waterways. Blending road trip and scientific discourse, the film weaves links between submerged and submerged worlds, whose multiple prisms engage a restorative encounter between humans and non-humans.
Official selection 2024: Focus on the environment – Prix Gaïa
