The inhabitants of the village of Tomave grow quinoa and raise llamas in the Bolivian highlands. They dress up, sing and laugh to call for rain, and throw firecrackers and confetti for Mother Earth. But agronomic engineers from the city are prowling around the village, their arms full of agricultural technologies, determined to rationalize practices. This is the prelude to a strange masquerade.
