Author, director and producer Mohamed El Khatib is Mucem’s guest artist for the 2023 season. Whether he creates his shows with a cleaning lady, a farmer, or museum guards, his intimate epics often focus on the “invisible”. The precarious. Those who belong to the lower classes of our societies.
Who are the “invisible”? To what extent could these highly disparate individuals and minorities unite around common demands? Was the “Gilets jaunes” movement a first attempt to speak out? What remains of it today?
