In this early work, Egyptian filmmaker Youssef Chahine was already expressing his anti-establishment verve, as well as his sense of mise en scène.
Film restored by the Association Youssef Chahine, the Cinémathèque française and MISR International films, with the help of the Institut audiovisuel de Monaco, Christian Louboutin and the technical support of the CNC. The work was carried out at the Hiventy (image) and L.E.Diapason (sound) laboratories, using negatives held at the Cinémathèque française. In partnership with La Cinémathèque française.
