Festival Parallèle
Echoing the “Populaire? Les trésors des collections du Mucem” exhibition, Parallèle invites Marseilles-based playwrights and directors Manon Worms and Hakim Bah to a creative stage where, in the late 1960s, the stories of immigrant workers and factory workers intersect. A video-reading followed by the screening of L’ordre des choses, a documentary on the memory of Romanian labor camps and political prisons.
After the screening, the artists will meet on the set to close the evening with a cross-conversation on the notions of working-class gesture and popular culture.
6:30 p.m., video-reading, creation stage Indestructible
By Manon Worms and Hakim Bah, 2024
7:45pm, screening L'ordre des choses
By Ramona Bădescu and Jeff Silva
Documentary, 2022, France, Romania, USA
