Es, a Palestinian living in Jerusalem, is in love with a Palestinian woman from Ramallah. The man is torn between his love and the need to care for his frail father. Because of the political situation, the woman can go no further than the checkpoint between the two cities. The couple therefore meet in a deserted parking lot near the checkpoint.
Jury Prize at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival and Best Foreign Film at the European Awards in Rome.
