Conflicts at ground level: struggles and mobilizations for land
Aix-Marseille anthropology inter-laboratory seminar
Conflict is a key area of research in the social sciences. Revealing the systems of perception and the economic and political stakes of a given space, it also sheds light on their possible reconfigurations. The conflicts currently shaking the world seem to be increasingly numerous and interconnected, focusing our attention on our relationship with the land, territories and the uses we wish to make of them.
Drawing on ethnographic surveys and recent thinking, this seminar looks at conflict situations relating to land occupation, management of the commons and resource grabbing.
