A Sunday in Beirut: Under Alice's sky

Ciné-dimanche

By Chloé Mazlo (France, 2021, 1h30)

With Alba Rohrwacher, Wajdi Mouawad, Isabelle Zighondi

A session accompanied by Vincent Thabourey, film critic, and Camille Faucourt, curator and co-curator of the exhibition “Revenir – Expériences du retour en Méditerranée”.

In the 1950s, young Alice leaves Switzerland for sunny, exuberant Lebanon. There, she falls in love at first sight with Joseph, a mischievous astrophysicist who dreams of sending the first Lebanese into space. Alice soon finds her place in his family. But after a few happy years, civil war intrudes on their paradise…

Screening in conjunction with the exhibition “Revenir – Expériences du retour en Méditerranée”.

At the end of the session, extend the experience in the forum to discuss the film and taste a Mediterranean specialty: musical atmosphere, board games and workshops to boot!

In collaboration with Maison Mina Kouk
