A look at the human-nature links in the Calanques
For its fifth edition, “L’automne des calanques” is devoted this year to the discovery of the “Living Calanques”. The Mucem is hosting one of the highlights of this annual event, organized by the Calanques National Park, with a panel discussion on human-nature issues in this remarkable wilderness area.
Human Nature issues in the Calanques
A hotspot for global biodiversity, the Calanques and its National Park are home to an abundance of life and exceptional species in their rocky territories: cliffs, scree slopes and caves. The aim of this conference is to shed light on the magic and challenges of these fascinating territories.
Against a backdrop of booming outdoor activities, it will also provide an opportunity, through the testimonies of National Park staff, outdoor enthusiasts, scientists and philosophers, to reflect together on our relationship with space and the living creatures that inhabit it. We’ll take a closer look at the question at the heart of the Automne des Calanques 2024 program, dedicated to the interactions of living things: How can we live together and make our presence in these fragile and exceptional environments sustainable for all?
Round table moderated by Thierry Tatoni, researcher and President of the Scientific Council of the Parc national des Calanques.
With :
Daniel Pavon, naturalist
Nolwen Berthier, professional climber
Mélissa Dubois, National Park agent
Rémi Beau, philisopher and researcher
In partnership with the Parc national des calanques.
