Bande annonce de 16 levers de soleil

To open the Under the Stars week, Guillaume Perret takes us on a weightless cine-concert, between cosmic jazz and stellar images inspired by Thomas Pesquet’s voyage.

A film by Pierre-Emmanuel Le Goff, 2018, 1h30, from 8 years old, Accessible to an international audience

During his voyage into space, Thomas Pesquet took his saxophone with him to play in front of one of the 16 daily sunrises visible from the ISS dome. This is the title given to the feature film, whose soundtrack was composed by Guillaume Perret. This extraordinary adventure has given a cosmic edge to his opus Elevation: music with an airy, uplifting feel that gives nothing away in terms of energy.

In 2022, the project evolved into a ciné-concert version of the feature film: 90 minutes of spiritual jazz trance from elsewhere, where electronic music, groove, urban pulsations and oriental textures meet. Guillaume Perret has drawn on his fantastic imagination to illustrate the space odyssey of astronaut Thomas Pesquet with his weightless music.

Doors open at 8:30pm.
