During a private tour, the museum’s rooms are opened up exclusively for your guests.
Any type of visit is possible, whether you have 45 minutes or 2 hours.1 Architectural tour
Go behind the scenes to discover how the museum was built, dive into the history of the Fort Saint-Jean and explore its gardens. This is the best tour for an introductory visit of the Mucem.

Dinner and cocktail reception with Le Môle Passedat, hired out just for you

Starred chef Gérald Passedat develops simple, tasteful cuisine with ties to the Mediterranean for the Mucem. Located on the top floor of the contemporary building, in a chic bistro atmosphere, the restaurant Le Môle Passedat offers a panoramic view of the docks, the port, and boats coming and going.
Availability: Nightly and Tuesday lunch and dinner

The rooftop terrace of the J4 takes in one of the museum’s most gorgeous panoramic views. Revealing the full singularity of Rudy Ricciotti’s architecture, the terrace benefits from the light playing off the concrete lacework and night-time lighting designed by Yann Kersalé.

Meetings and conventions in Auditorium and Forum

Offering complete technical options, the auditorium can host your conferences, plenary sessions and general assemblies. The space is bathed in natural light thanks to two glass walls that can be fully obscured, that frame the stage and that offer a discreet view of the museum’s esplanade. Adjoining the auditorium, the Forum is at your disposal, with its catering service, cloakroom, separate entrance and lounge furniture, for your coffee breaks and lunch buffets, as a break room, or for exhibitor stands.

Meetings up to 40 people in VIP Lounge

Completely glass-walled and located on the rooftop terrace of the J4, the VIP Lounge offers an unbeatable view of the sea, the sea wall and the blue coastline. This luminous, contemporary space is equipped to host your board and top management meetings. Your meeting can be accompanied by lunch at Le Môle Passedat’s communal table.

Cocktail reception in The Grand Hall

The Grand Hall is the heart of the building created by architect Rudy Ricciotti. This emblematic area of the MuCEM’s architecture can be decorated in the colours of your event. Its direct access to the Gallery of the Mediterranean and the temporary exhibitions makes it the perfect place to hold a cocktail reception accompanied by a private tour of the museum.

The Fort Saint-Jean, whose foundations date back to the late 12th century, is emblematic of the history of Marseille. In the middle of a 1,500 m² Mediterranean landscaped garden, the fort’s square offers an unbeatable view of the sea and the contemporary J4 building.
